I've been trying to attain a middle of the room handstand for a while now, but just can't seem to keep my balance for more than 1 or 2 seconds at a time. We have a love-hate relationship, me and handstand. I love that 1-2 second feeling. But I hate not being able to feel it for longer!

Just stumbled across your blog. Last night I video taped myself a bunch of times so I could see what I look like and begin to tweak the pose.

Then I filmed myself in headstand (an old favorite) and kicking up to someday get into handstand.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472650269693325361.post-59671379781039917712011-03-27T15:03:00.515-07:002011-03-27T15:03:00.515-07:00awesome! right now I am obsessed with headstands ...awesome! right now I am obsessed with headstands and trying to hold crow for longer then 10 seconds!
I'm a new reader of your blog and I love it! I was reading back to your post about being the youngest teacher trainee and getting interesting reactions and I would just like to offer my two cents {i know that post was over a month ago, but i just read it}. I am 17 right now, but I completed my 200 hour teacher certification when I was 16. I started it when I was 15. My mom brought me to yoga classes when I was 10, and I had a love for it that kept on growing. I've never really came across any negative reactions in regards to my age, except for one time. I woman refused to hire me because of my age. Overall though, every student I've ever had and employers have been very supportive of my yoga journey! I can't wait to keep reading your blog :)

jackie
purplemonkey732.blogspot.comjackiekhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17139585580128404817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8472650269693325361.post-1106318885034960382011-03-26T12:29:04.064-07:002011-03-26T12:29:04.064-07:00Parsva Bakasana!! Her Dad (who is a friend of ours) ran up behind me and tried to scare me outta the pose. You are sooo right... it truly is addicting. I'm all over forearm stands right ...Way to go!

I'm all over forearm stands right now, though it's easier (and less dirty for the arms) to do handstands at work (hiding behind containers and baggage carts). It took me about 3 months for headstands, 6 to get forearm stand, and still working on full extended handstand. Inversions are pure gold, especially for the brain!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
